Tree of Life Collar Necklace

I just made a collar necklace using 5 silver ice tea spoons.  I cut 3 of them as tree of life pendants using a jeweler's saw and left 2 plain.  They are strung along with African Turquoise (jasper) and black glass beads.  the clasp is hand made using the stem of one of the spoons.  I really like how it turned out.

they all fall down

I finished the bowling set I had planned on making.  I am not really happy with it,  I would definitely try something different next time.  I tried to make them to look like little drummer boys.  The faces are embroidered on.  I should have gone for more of a bowling pin shape.  It does knock over like it should.  I am glad about that.

birds, birds and more birds

I just finished 2 humming bird pendants.  Someone requested one so I tried 2 different styles.  I think that they turned out ok.   I also made a seagull necklace for a friend using a mix of real shells and glass beads.  The next project I am going to try is making a fabric bowling set.  Kind of nervous about how it will turn out.  I will post pictures when I am done.

Greetings and salutations

Hi,  I am Functional flea.  This is just a short entry to introduce myself.  I love to make things.  I dabble with sewing and jewelry making.  What I have been doing the most recently is turning old silverware into jewelry.  I plan to  post some pictures soon of some of the things I have made.
